is there a difference in itch.io demo and steam demo?
No, you should even be able to use your itch save file if you buy the game on steam.

I tried the demo, and plan on getting the game.
But I gotta ask, is it better if I buy it here on Itch or if I buy it on Steam?

The game is good but has a lot of issues
1. Weapons sometimes just don't fire after you respawn, it takes like 7 seconds sometimes for them to be working again.
2. The game is really unbalanced. the enemy's are faster than you and you are not able to kill them quick enough (thanks to the weapon bug) for you to be able to survive on higher difficulties
3. The strategems are basically useless, you don't need resupply if you die all the time and there are to many monsters for the bombs to do anything. The only thing that works reliable enough are the grenades
4. Enemy's always know where you are, not having the ability to at least avoid unnecessary combat really sucks right now.
difficulty levels are different per planet, which isn't bad, but that also means that you cant avoid those. I would like to see some difficulty settings in the main menu. The current difficulty should be normal difficulty, Easy difficulty should lower the speed at which the enemy's travel and reduce the amount of enemy's that spawn.
